Abstract
Based on the Duncan-Chang’s constitutive model and Zienkiewicz-Zhu’ s error estimation, a nonlinearadaptive strategy(i.e.,in order to reduce discretional error,an optimal mesh will be find out under eachincremental load.)suitable for the FEM analysis of interaction between soil and structure is presented in this paper.Numerical tests perfiormed with interaction problems have shown that,this nonlinear adaptive strategy is efficientand can be used to improve the accuracy of interaction analysis between soil and structure.
