Centrifugal Model Test of the Interaction Between the Foundation of Beam-pillar offshore platform and the Soil

ThiS Paper dedals with a new type of offshore Platform consisting of a beam pillar system. The centrifu-gal model tests were performed to clarify the operational mechanism. Six model tests, under vertical of vertical and horizontal loads,were carried out. Based on the test results,the shares of vertical load carried by the bottoms of pillars and beams and the sides of pillars were given.This provides a scientific basis for design of platform.
