Influence of Vibration Frequency on the Failurre of Frozen Soil

  • Based on a large number of tests under constant dynamic stresses(constant maximum stress and min-mum stress),It ls found that the failure time and strain decrease with increasing vibration frequency,the influencedegree of frequency on failure time and strain decreases when the frequency is more than 8 Hz The relationship ofthe frequency and the failure numbers of vibration cycles depends on the soil temperature,the minimum value of thefailure cycle mumbers occurs at-2℃and a maximum value at-15℃,but no limit value is found at-10t.
