Measurement of Ground Pressure in Vertical Shaft

With consideration of some factors,such as the properties of surrounding rock,the depth of a shaft,theend effect caused by excavation,the dip angle and the form of shaftwall structure,measurement of ground pressurewas executed in two shafts with difterent depth.New ideas of the distribution of ground pressure in vertical shaft areobtained,and some numerical index,namely, the deep coefficient of ground pressure,the uneven distributed indexof ground pressure,the index of end effects have been presented,The conclusion of this paper may be used for theconstruction of new shafts in mining areas with similar geological conditions.
