Problems on Accuracy of Hollow Inclusion Strain Cells

Hollow inclusion cells have been widely used for in-situ stress determnation both in chinaand in the world.However,there are some problems in the analysis and calculation of stress field fromstrains measured with the hollow inclusion cells during stress relief.They will greatly influence the re-liability and accuracy of the measured results of in-situ stress. This paper brings these problems up andprovides relevant techniques and methods for solving them.
