  • Thermal conductivity of four kinds of sands are measured by thermal needle method. effectsof porosity and degree of saturation on the therml conductivity of the sands are considered as para-meters.Empirical equation of thermal conductivity of the sands as function of porosity and degree ofsaturation is proposed.Comparison and analysis of the empirical equation with the results in some liter-ature are given.
