Solution of Reissner Thick Plates on Double-parameter Foundation under Local Load

Solution of plates with free edges on double-parameter foundation has been obtained by assuming the solution of plates with all shearfreeclamped edges as initial solution, then the boundary restriant moments are eliminated progressively. After the boundary moments been described approximately, the calculation procedure has been simplified greatly and can be performed on microcomputer. In calculation, only single trigonometric series are used and the accuracy can be controlled easily. Three examples show the accuracy and practicability of the suggested method. Influence of foundation parameters on the solution is discussed.
