In this paper, as clasio-plastie fracture model for jointed rock is proposed. This model is employed to evaluate the initiation, propagation,extention, breakthrough of cracke. failures of rock masees and the three dimensioaal stability of dam abutme-ate. The calculated r sulte givem in this paper agree very well with model toste.
