Axial Bearing Capacity of Socketed Piles

Abstract
Cased on the analysis of data of pile test, a method for computing the axial bearing capacity of socketed pile is presented. The physical parameters of the resistance function are calculated with measured data, and the load-displacement curve computed by means of a non-linear mathematical model agrees with the measured one. Then the values of allowable load and permissible displacement are proposed. A computer program involving also the computation of lateral bearing capacity with non-linear stiffness coefficient has been compiled for designing the socketed pile foundation of large bridge.
