Iteration Method for Finding the Damped Natural Frequencies of Foundation Vibration

Abstract
Assuming a foundation having a single plane of symmetry, an iteration method for finding the damped natural frequencies of vibration of foundation accompanied by simultaneous rocking, sliding and vertical displacement has been presented, which shows that it is feasible to determine all three natural frequencies of the system by two groups of iteration. The sequence of the results calculated converges rapidly and its procedure is simple, so it is appropriate for practical application.
