Problems on Dispersive Soil as Dam Materials

Dispersive Soil was first discovered by Australians in 1961. Then extensive studies were carried on in Australia during 1960's and in U. S. A. during 1970's. These studies included field investigation, laboratory testing and remedy measures and gained good achievement.Because we have not paid much attention on dispersive soil in China, it is main purpose of the writer to summary the current progress of dispersive soil problems from recen papers published in Australia, U. S. A. and Canada including the papers to be supplemented privately to the writers by Prof.O.G.Ingles, and to condense them into a convenient reference for hydraulic engineering circle in this country.
