Application of TRD method in non-in-situ tests on 56.73 m-wall of Shanghai International Financial Center

  • The TRD-E machine and supplementary equipments made in China are used in constructing the soil mixing wall with uniform thickness as the cut-off curtain of deep excavation of Shanghai International Financial Center. Through the non-in-situ tests on wall construction, the construction of the cut-off curtain under deep and ultra thick sand conditions is feasible and reliable by using the above method. The wall quality inspection and environmental monitoring show that the unconfined compressive strengths of real-time cement-soil slurry blocks and drilling core blocks of the soil-mixing wall as well as the outdoor and indoor impermeability tests meet the design requirements, and the surrounding environment is effectively controlled. The tests provide reliable basis for the construction of engineering wall, and it may provide reference for similar projects.
