Analysis and evaluation of effects of borehole pressure relief measures by drilling cutting method

  • Based on the theory of drilling cutting method, using the variation of drilling cutting weight and dynamic phenomenon in the process of stiking borehole pressure relief, the effect of pressure relief drilling to prevent rock burst in Gengcun Coal Mine is analyzed through comparison and analysis.The analytical results show that the method of pressure relief drilling makes the maximum value of weight and granularity of drilling cuttings greater than 3 mm or above be reduced, and it further reduces rock burst hazards in some degree. However, it fails to make abutment pressure peak zone transfer to deep coal, indicating that the current construction process of borehole pressure relief should be optimized and the construction parameters should be adjusted. The analytical results show that when the method of pressure relief drilling is used, other measures should be used to prevent rock burst so as to effectively remove rock burst.
