  • This paper makes make an effort to solve such difficult technical problems as saving construction period, ensuring the normal operation of existing railway lines and the security of deep excavations. Ningbo comprehensive transport hub, a construction integration of railway station and subway station, is cited as an illustration. In this project, reasonable and effective measures are proposed to ensure the security and stability of railway trains running on trestle bridges during the excavation. Meanwhile, the key points in the design and construction of comprehensive urban transportation hub are summarized to ensure the “quantity, rapidness, quality, economical efficiency” in the construction. It may provide a reference for future similar projects in soft soil area.
