Design of prestressed concrete pile foundation in Shanghai

  • The pile foundations with cast-in-situ piles, tube piles, prefab piles and so on are usually adopted in projects. After analyzing and comparing the cost specifications, the prestressed concrete pile (PHC pile) is used in a project in Shanghai and used as the uplift pile and the compression pile. The PHC pile used as the uplift pile is especially analyzed in construction design. The local load tests indicate that the PHC pile has credible quality parameter and satisfies the structural design.
