Static load tests on large-diameter piles for Kayang Bridge

  • The pile bearing capacity, settlement and other indices of two large-diameter bored piles and two steel pipe piles at the construction site of Kayang Bridge in Seoul, Korea are analyzed by means of the static load tests. The bearing capacity characteristics of diameter piles and steel pipe piles are revealed by using the load -settlement curves' and the influencing factors are investigated during the experiment. It provides valuable experimental data and experience for the construction of similar projects in the future.
