Parameter analysis of bases with different materials

The orthogonal method is adopted to analyze the performance of pavement with different bases and the influences of various parameters. The base thickness, basement modulus and subbase modulus are selected as the main influence factors. The orthogonal sensitive analysis of the critical factors in pavement structure design shows that the sensitivity sequence is base thickness > subbase modulus> rigid base >base modulus. The calculated results of the bearing capacity of pavement indicate that the bearing capacity sequence is rigid base >semi-rigid base > flexible base. The three indices of pavement surface deflection, base bottom surface tensile stress and subbase bottom surface tensile stress as well as the economic value of bases are discussed. The thicknesses of three kinds of base materials are recomnended.
