Experimental study on application of STW ecotypic soil stabilizer in windbreak and sand fixation

By means of the self-developed STW ecotypic stabilizer to improve sand,the mechanical properties and weathering quality of the modified sand were investigated.The relevant data was obtained through the strength tests using the super mini-penetrometer and weathering resistance tests which utilized the self-made air blast simulator.It was indicated that the mechanical strength of the modified sand was obviously improved as well as the water retentivity and weathering resistance,and the optimal effect could be achieved when the stabilizer with the concentration of 5% was prepared.
