Development and application of real-time safety evaluation software system for embankment dams

  • As the basis of the flood regulation and the emergency operation in dam risk management,the real-time dam safety assessment has been accepted gradually.According to the requirements of flood regulation,a framework for the real-time dam safety evaluation and the requirements for the system design are suggested.Also a real-time dam safety evaluation software based on the real-time monitoring data and structural computing developed by the anthors and applied in Qingshan Reservoir dam successfully is presented.The results show that the combination of the monitoring data and the structural computations can be widely used for the real-time dam safety evaluation.
