Test on vertical bearing behavior of shaft diaphragm wall foundation

The diaphragm wall foundation is a new kind of foundation.To study vertical bearing behavior of the foundation,a shaft diaphragm wall foundation of bridge in loess area was tested for bearing capacity by use of the self-balanced method.The method was used for the first time in China.By analyzing test data,the vertical bearing capacity,lateral friction and tip resistance of the diaphragm wall foundation were studied.The test data and results were very important to design.
