Experimental study on engineering mechanical properities of stale refuse

After the refuse had been buried in the landfill for several years(more than 5 years),most of it decomposed under physical reaction,chemical reaction and biological reaction etc.Then the refuse changed to be stale.The engineering mechanical properties of refuse was different from those of the common soils.In order to construct on Jinkou landfill in Wuhan,it was needed to research the engineering mechanical properties of the stale refuse there.After a lot of experiments in laboratory and in site,the properties of the stale refuse were known.It was helpful to the design of the project.A conclusion and some advices were given.
