Recent advances of the measuring technology for unsaturated soils and special soils

Recent advances of the measuring technology for unsaturated soil and special soil were comprehensively summed up.Various measuring technologies for suction,moisture,seepage,deformation,stress,strength,pore pressures,drainage water,and for expansive soil and collapsible loess,and for model test and large-scale site test,were discussed.The difficulties of measurement for unsaturated soil and special soil were pointed out.The new and high technologies and equipments developed by scholars at home and abroad in recent years were introduced.The methods for controlling suction and for improving measurement precision were expounded in detail.Some suggestions for the measuring technology development of unsaturated soil and special soil hereafter were proposed.
