Abstract
The problem of interaction between the structure and liquefiable soil is an non-linear and complicated problem. Based on the geotechnical centrifuge model test, the problem was investigated by the finite element program FLIP(Finite element analysis of Liquefaction Program)developed with effective stress method. Moreover, the results obtained from the experiment were compared with those from the simulation. And the failure degree, state and mechanism of the prototype pile-supported structure in the liquefiable soils under the strong shaking condition were also discussed. This study provides a reliable foundation for the seismic design of the large scale port structures.
