Abstract
The fractal property of seismic records is comprehensively investigated with its power spectrum, and it is generally considered that the seismic record is of fractal property in several higher frequency bands. This not only provides the theoretic foundation for reasonably applying fractal into seismic records analysis, but also reveals the shortages of using single integrated fractal dimension to detect the singularities of seismic profile. Based on the above consideration and by the combination of the advantages of à trous algorithm of wavelet and regularization dimension of fractal, a new method of profile regularization dimension spectrum is proposed to describe the fractal dynamic characteristics of seismic profile. It overcomes the shortages of single integrated regularization dimension, realizes the accurate fractal quantity interpretation of seismic profile and also protrudes its singularities. On the basis of this method, the practical technology for detecting singularities of seismic profile is put forward and the corresponding software system is developed. In the singularity detection of underground continuous wall, it is showed that the technology is of better feasibility and effectiveness than the current fractal detection method.
