Abstract
The slipsplit failure of rock slope parallel to rock layers is a slipping pattern objectively existing in nature characterized by upper part shearing and slipping and lower part overturning. Theoretical formulae for analyzing stability of slipsplit failure are put forward and restrained conditions are discussed. The penalty function is used in optimizing method of searching the minimum factor of safety.
