3D visual modeling technique of folded rock-mass and its engineering application

Abstract
The characteristics of nonmonodromy of folded surface has brought great difficulties for 3D modeling of folded rockmass. According to the geometrical characteristics of folded rockmass, a suitable spatial data model is put forward for folded rockmass, and the corresponding data structure is built. Based on these, section modeling technique and visual modeling system are developed. Using this modeling system, 3D visual modeling of north slope in Fushun west openpit is built.
