A model for prediction of rockburst by artificial neural network

  • Based on the analysis of main causes of rockburst,the compressive strength,the tensile strength,the elastic energy index of the rock and the maximum tangential stress of the cavern wall are chosen as the indexes of criterion for rockburst prediction.A new model using neural network method is proposed to predict rockburst occurrence and its intensity.The predicted results show that it is feasible and valid to use artificial neural network model for predicting rockburst
