Forecast on deformation and stability of A’ba aluminum plant foundati on and slope

  • A’ba aluminum plant,founded in 1989,locates on t he Ⅲ terrace of Mingjiang river. As the sequence of impoundment of Zipingpu re servoir, part of slope will be submerged. The impoundment of reservoir will indu ce subsidence of foundation and the deformation of slope, thus the stability of the foundation and slope will be influenced. The paper s ystematically analyses engineering geological conditions of A’ba aluminum plant, then applies Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua method(FLAC3D 2.00 for windows), polar projection method as well as limit equilibrium method to forecas t the deformation and stability of the foundation and the slope.
