Abstract
According to the distribution characteristics of initial rock stress measured in the mine around complex faults, structural rock stress field is simulated and estimated by establishing numerical model suited to geological structure of the mine and applying the DDM (displacement discontinuity method) and iteration method based on the stress measurements. Simulating results fit with the distribution characteristics of the measurements. In addition, the influence of complex faults on regional principal rock stresses is analyzed by comparing the in situ measurements with numerical results. It is shown that regional initial rock stress state is controlled by larger faults and that heterogeneity and aeolotropism of initial rock stress field are caused by superposition of action of faults.
