Direct method to verify virgin stress measurement and the optimum rosette arrangement style of hollow inclusion cell

According to the principle of in situ stress measurement, the relationship among the measureed strain values with certain style of rosette arrangement are induced in this paper. On the basis of this relationship, the authors supposed a direct method to verify the accuracy of virgin stress measurement results. In addition, the optimum styles of rosette arrangement for hollow inclusion cell are also suggested. The method is proved to be valid in two cases.
