Abstract
Strength and volume change laws of lime-stabilized soils under the conditions of various sodium sulphate contents, mixture ratios, curing temperatures and curing times were studied in this paper. Experiment results indicated that sodium sulphate content was internal determinant factor affecting strength developing and volume change of stabilized soils, and there was a optimum sodium sulphate content under certain mixture ratio and curing temperature; controlling the moist curing time of mixture was an effective technological way to reach best soil stabilizing result, and increasing moist curing time of mixture may efficiently reduce even completely eliminate volume expansion of stabilized soils. The research achievement could be used as a guide to expanding the application of sodium sulphate as a additive in soil stabilization, to increasing the technical effect of the additive, and to the utilization and treatment of salty soils.
