Drainage effects in water supply canals

  • In view of the various engineering damage problems caused by leakage in ZG canal, it is proposed to set up a drainage system to drain the leaking water during the operation period. On this basis, an observation tube is set up to observe the leakage situation, and the effectiveness of the system is investigated in conjunction with the data of pumping operation water-collection wells. The results show that after the installation of the vertical and horizontal drainage system for canals, there are still leakages in some sections during the operation period, but the "post-film water level" of the relevant sections is dropped significantly compared to that before the drainage system is installed. Through the correlation analysis between the water level of the "post-membrane water" and the drainage operation during the operation period, the overall effectiveness of the drainage system is demonstrated.
