Numerical simulation of deformation characteristics of supporting structure of deep foundation pits

Abstract
Considering the interaction of retaining structure, internal bracing structures and soil space of deep excavation, actual excavation of diaphragm wall and ring support of deep pit in A5 block in Yongqing Commercial District of Wuhan City is numerically calculated using the linear elastic finite element method. Changes of displacements and internal forces during excavation, adding support and removing support in the construction of deep foundation pit are simulated. The calculated results and the actual excavation monitoring data are analyzed and compared. The characteristics of the excavation process by means of diaphragm wall and ring support are summarized. It may provide technical support for further optimization.
