Abstract
The double-row-pile wall is widely applied in foundation pits. A case study of double-row-pile wall is analyzed. The following conclusions are drawn: (1) the use of Duncan-Chang model in soil simulation can better reflect the actual deformation and internal force of retaining structures; (2) double-row-pile wall is similar to rigid enclosure structure, and the maximum deformation occurs at the pile top; (3) the excavation in falling zone further weakens the embedded function of pit soil near the retaining piles, thus in the engineering design, it is recommended to determine the depth of excavation according to the basement elevation of the falling zone.
