Generalized Pore Pressure Model for Strain Softening Materials

  • 摘要: 应变软化材料破坏过程中的变形局部化和剪切带形成问题,是岩土力学界和固体力学界共同关注的一个焦点,但多年的研究未能取得重大的突破。本文在作者不久前建议的广义吸力概念的基础上,提出了用类似于孔隙压力产生的方法来描述软化过程的理论。按照这一理论,应变局部化问题可以应用常规有限元方法进行分析,从而为解决实际工程中的逐渐破坏问题开辟了新的途径。文末通过具体算例说明建议方法的可行性。

     

    Abstract: Strain localization and shear band formation in the failure process of strain softening materials is a key problem commonly interested in the fields of both geomechanics and solid mechanics, but still remaining unresolved regardless of long term efforts of many researchers. In this paper, based on the concept of generalized suction proposed recently by the author for structured soils, a theory named as generalized pore pressure model is presented which describes the softening process as some thing like the pore pressure generation in the saturated soils. According to this theory, the process of strain localization can be simulated by the conventional finite element procedure, thus offering the possibility of numerical modeling of the progressive failure in the geotechnical engineering. An example is given to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed theory.
