Application of Centrifuge to Nodel Crackingof Earth-Rockfill Dam Core

  • 摘要: 本文叙述了用离心模拟技术预测土坝设计中潜在裂缝,以便于土坝设计者处理裂缝危害。通过离心模型试验,研究三种不同土坝裂缝机理。从理论上和实践上证明了离心模型的可靠性。

     

    Abstract: Dam cracking due to differential settlement is a problem in urgent need of better underetand-ing for the sake of dam safety. This paper describes using centrifuge modeling technique to predict thepotential cracking in earth dam design. A list of scale relations for the centrifuge model test derived bydimensional analysis is given in Tables 2 and 3, and a series of centrifuge tests has been conclucted toinvestigate three different machanism of cracking in earth dams.
