The Mechanical Properties and Their Engineering Applications to Unsaturated Soils

  • 摘要: 作为一种岩土工程材料,土在非饱和状态下的工程性质与其在饱和状态下是不同的。在过去几十年里,许多学者企图应用饱和土力学的基本理论和原理去解决非饱和土的工程问题。事实证明,没有一种努力是非常成功的。本文从非饱和土中“相”的物理意义和工程性质出发,论述了非饱和土的应力状态变量和体积变化的基本关系式,并应用这种理论分析了膨胀土的体积变化问题和非饱和土的边坡稳定问题。

     

    Abstract: Unsaturated soil from a geotechnical engineering viewpoint has different behavior from the soils that are saturated. In the last few decades many attempts have been made to apply satur pil mechanism principles to problems involving unsaturated soil. None of these attempts have proven to be very successful.In this paper consideration is given to the significance of phases of an unsaturated soil and their engineering properties. Stress state variable and volume change constitutive relationship for unsaturated soil are proposed and used to analyze the volume change problems related to expansive soil and slope stability problems associated with unsaturated soils.
