On the Stress-Strain-Strength Characteristics of Quasi-Overconsolidated Clay

  • 摘要: 本文着重讨论在粘土层中由于次固结所产生的附加结构强度。内容包括两方面,一是分析拟似超固结粘土的屈服压力的机理,并通过实验结果说明越出初始沉积曲线的现象是拟似超固结粘土的本质行为。二是将拟似超固结粘土和超固结粘土的应力-应变-强度特性加以比较,从而说明由时间效应产生的拟似超固结特性和由载荷效应产生的超固结特性之间存在本质的区别。

     

    Abstract: This paper deals with the additional "structural strength" caused by the secondary consolidation of clay in subsoils.Two problems are covered in this paper. On the first one, the mechanism of yielding pressure PCQ for quasi- overconsolidated clay (QOC clay) is discussed.Then, the "Overshoot" of compression curves for aged clay was tested. It is verified that such a phenomenon is an essential behaviour for QOC clay. On the second one, the comparison of stress-strain-strength characteristics between QOC clay and OC clay was performed, and it is shown that an essential distinction between the quasi-over-consolidation characteristics due to aging and the overconsolidation characteristics due to unloading is presented.
