Mechanical Characteristics of Under-consolidated Clay Soils with Structural Strength

  • 摘要: 根据天然荷重对粘土压密作用的有效性,本文把欠压密土区分为两类,即一般欠压密土和有结构强度的欠压密土。分析了欠压密土形成的地质条件。讨论了颗粒间固化联结键的成因。这类土,由于固化联结键和高孔隙度,其压密特性,孔隙压力的变化和剪切应力—应变关系均与应力水平有密切关系。

     

    Abstract: On the basis of the efficiency of the compacting effect of natural loads on clay soils, under-consolidated clay soils are divided into two categories, i. e. common under-consolidated clay soil and one with structural strength. The geological condition of the formation of under-consolidated clay soil is analysed. The inducing sources of forming bonds of hardening between soil particles are discussed. Owing to the bonds and high porosity in such soils, its characteries of compressibility, the change of pore-pressure and shear stress-strain relationship all depend on stress level.
