团聚体大小对填筑土强度影响的试验研究

Experimental study on effect of aggregate size on strength of filled soils

  • 摘要: 为了了解团聚体大小对填筑土强度的影响,对不同改性填筑土的12组土样进行了一系列的无侧限抗压和剪切试验。结果表明:当团聚体的平均粒径小于3.5mm时,素土、纤维土和石灰土的粘聚力随粒径的增大而减小,内摩擦角随粒径的增大而增大;当团聚体的平均粒径大于3.5mm时,随粒径的增大,素土和石灰土的粘聚力明显增大且内摩擦角明显减小,纤维土的粘聚力和内摩擦角则变化不大;在受压破坏时,素土表现为应变软化的塑性破坏,纤维土表现为应变硬化的塑性破坏,石灰土则表现为完全的脆性破坏;素土、纤维土和石灰土的无侧限抗压强度随团聚体粒径的增大而降低。在试验结果的基础上,对团聚体大小的影响机理进行了分析和讨论。试验结论对进一步认识和掌握填筑土的工程性质具有重要意义。

     

    Abstract: For the purpose of understanding the effect of aggregate size on the strength of filled soils,twelve types of soil samples were prepared for a series of unconfined compression and shear tests according to soil type and aggregate size.It was shown from the test results that(1) with average grain size of aggregates less than 3.5 mm,the cohesion of raw soil,reinforced soil with 0.4% fibre and treated soil with 8% lime decreased and the corresponding internal friction angles increased with increase of aggregate size;(2) with average grain size of aggregates greater than 3.5 mm,the cohesion of raw soil and lime-treated soil increased and the corresponding angles of internal friction decreased sharply while the cohesion and angles of internal friction of fibre-reinforced soil varied a little with increase of aggregate size;(3) after failure in compression test,samples of raw soil took on strain-softening ductile failure,those of fibre-reinforced soil took on strain-hardening ductile failure,whereas those of lime-treated soil took on brittle failure;(4) the unconfined compressive strength of all studied soil decreased with increase of aggregate size.On the basis of the above findings,the influence of aggregate size on the strength of studied soils was analyzed and discussed.The conclusions drawn from the test were significant and useful for further studies on the engineering properties of filled soils.
