Numerical simulation of shear band in clayey soils using finite deformation theory

  • 摘要: 基于有限变形理论和中井的下负荷面本构关系模型,研究了平面应变试验中黏土试样变形的局部化问题。推导了适用于中井本构关系模型的稳定、快速收敛的欧拉向后应力积分算法。在局部误差和整体误差都得到精确控制的情况下,用数值方法得到了土体内部明显可见的X型剪切带。在剪切带的形成过程中,剪切带内及其附近单元存在两次塑性不稳定现象,其中第一次在这些单元进入极限状态之前,第二次在极限状态附近。在这两次塑性不稳定现象之后,变形的局部化过程明显加快,剪切带从中间向外沿四个方向迅速传播。同时,指出了这种塑性不稳定现象和单元分叉之间的内在关系。

     

    Abstract: The finite deformation theory and the Nakai’s sub-loading constitutive model are used to investigate shear band localization in plane strain model tests. A stable and fast converging algorithm for the numerical integration of isotropic elasto-plastic models is used. Under the precise control of local and global tolerances, an obvious X-shaped shear band pattern is obtained. During the formation and development of the shear bands, the iteration stability difficulties are observed twice. One happens prior to the critical state, and the other one is present around the critical state. After these numerical stability difficulties, the shear bands are accelerated to propagate and stretch out in four directions. It is also indicated that the iteration stability difficulties are deeply associated with the initiation and propagation of the shear bands.
