Abstract: According to the concept of“equivalent material”the rheological behaviour of the bolted rockmasses was studied by applying constitutive theory and model test technique. Corresponding mechanic-al patterns were established. Examples of stability analyses of underground openings by FEM are pre-sented. Finally,a FEM analysis for a mine gallery is carried out.
