Abstract: Fundamental design principles of general construction and main components of large geotechnical centrifuge are described systmatically according to the practical experience. Technical indexes, construction features and operational performance of LXJ-4-450 geotechnical centrifuge reflecting the fundamental design principles are introduced briefly as the practical example.
