三轴拉伸试验中试样的断裂机理

The Mechanism of Fracture of Soil Samples in Triaxial Tensile Test

  • 摘要: 本文根据对一种心墙原土的三轴拉伸试验中试样变形过程及断裂形式的描述与分析,提出如下看法:随着周围压力的不同,试样的破坏可以表现为纯拉断、先剪切伸长后拉断、纯剪切三种形式。一般所用公式(文中式(1))只能用于纯拉断形式。而对先剪切伸长后拉断形式的试样,要考虑周边剪切的影响,才能得出真正的抗拉强度。对于表现为纯剪切破坏形式的试样,不能从成果中引出抗拉强度。对于高围压作用下,试样发生断裂破坏的现象作了解释。

     

    Abstract: Based on the description and Analysis of the deformation process and the forms of fracture for undisturbed soil samples taken from the core of an earth dam in tri-axial tensile tests, this paper presents that there are three different failure forms of the soil samples under different cell pressure. ( 1 ) pure tensile fracture, ( 2 ) shear and elongation at first, tensile fracture followed, ( 3) pure shear failure. The formula generally used to calculate the tensile strength is effective only for the first form. For the second form, considering the influence of shear in the sample, a formula to calculate the true tensile strength is developed. For the third form, the tensile strength from the triaxial tensile tests can not be obtained.
