Experimental Study of The Fracture Toughness of Rocks

  • 摘要: 本文论述了坚硬岩石的Ⅰ型、Ⅱ型和Ⅰ—Ⅱ混合型断裂试验,根据三种方法的断裂试验成果,得到了适合于正长岩、玄武岩等结晶岩石的断裂韧度曲线。试验表明,岩石的断裂韧度受其矿物成分、结构构造及所含微细结构面等因素的控制,岩石断裂韧度和声波速度有密切的正相关关系。

     

    Abstract: This paper deals with the experimental study of fracture toughness of mode Ⅰ,mode Ⅱ and mixed mode for hard rocks. According to the results obtained by 3 types of fracturing tests a fracture toughness curve was given for evaluation of crystalline rocks, such as syenite and basalt. The value of fracture toughness seems to be dependent upon the mineral composition, texture and structure, including some minor discontinuity. Moreover, a close relationship between the frcture toughness and the velocity of sound wave jn rocks was also found by laboratory experiment.
