Abstract:
Kieselguhr is texturally friable and soft, abundant in stratification, and small in strength. The results of the uniaxical compression creep test show that the creep deformation of kieselguhr is very large and the long term strength is substantially smaller than the instantaneous strength. The regression analyses of the test data based on different mathematical mechanical models give very effective results. Study indicates that the computation is simple according to logarithm equation and the creep behaviour of the material conforms to a elastic viscoelastic viscoplastic rheological model. The polynomical progressive regression analysis developed in this paper can imitate the creep law of kieselguhr very well in the third accelerating creep stage.
