Abstract:
The most important issue for the researches on blast-induced seismic effects is to assess the damage induced by blasting vibration accurately and reasonably. Combining the energy damage mechanism and considering the distribution of blast-induced seismic energy and dynamic response characteristics of structures, a method for safety assessment on blasting vibration is proposed based on the equivalent peak energy (EPE). On the basis of relevant research results, the criterion based on EPE is put forward, and its computational procedure and equivalent velocity are studied. Furthermore, the simplified method of EPE for seismic induced by different types of blasting resources is studied. The research suggests that it is feasible for the equivalent velocity of EPE to evaluate the damage induced by blasting vibration. The criterion based on EPE reflects the essence of blasting vibration damage more comprehensively than the safety criterion considering the effect of frequency. And it can be realized easily.
