Abstract:
In order to simulate and study the erosion effect on cemented soil under environmental contamination,a series of unconfined compression tests were conducted on the cemented soil samples which were cured under various environmental conditions, including clean water, and H2SO4,NaCl,NaOH solutions with different concentrations. It was shown that the compression strength of the cemented soil varied with not only the curing time but also the contaminated types and the concentrations. The strength decreased in a high concentrated acid solution, thus the erosion effect on the cemented soil must be taken into account in engineering practice.
