Abstract: A kind of complex geomembrane was laid in the upper layer of the roadbed to prevent water penetration,therefore the lower classed soil could be used as fill of embankment.Laboratory tests,in-situ measurements and measurement of vibration during passing of train were done.It was indicated that the technology was efficient for embankment stability and beneficial for reduction of construction cost.A direct measuring method of deformation of the membrane was put forward as well.
