Abstract: Based on the detailed consideration on the characteristics of rockmass in slope of red bed,4 pivotal factors were adopted to demarcate different structure styles of rockmass in slope of red bed.The factors included the characters of terranes and weak interbeds and the intersections with slope surface;the characters and combinations of structure joints and the intersections with slope surface;combinations of lithology;dualistic structure of M-shaped slope made up of red rockmass and overlying deposit soil.According to above-mentioned factors,4 categories including 13 subcategories were presented in detail,and engineering geological evaluation,incidental hazard styles and engineering advices were provided for each subcategory.
